India-Japan Cultural Udon Party at Oyakata Skill Training Centre

We recently held a vibrant and successful Udon Party at the Oyakata Skill Training Centre, fostering a wonderful cultural exchange and bringing together our trainees and staff! This event was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to experience the taste of Japan and learn new skills.

🥢 Hands-On Cultural Exchange The preparation and enjoyment of the Udon were truly a joint effort. We were delighted that our Indian staff members actively cooperated in the preparation of the ingredients and the setup, ensuring everything ran smoothly. A highlight of the party was the practical lesson in Japanese dining etiquette. We took the time to teach the female students how to use chopsticks, offering gentle guidance and practice. They quickly picked up the skill, demonstrating great enthusiasm for the new challenge!

🍲 The Magic of Dashi Broth The moment of tasting the Udon was filled with happy surprises. For many of the trainees, it was their first time trying authentic Japanese Udon, and the flavor of the broth was a revelation. We heard many excited comments, with several students expressing their astonishment at the unique and umami-rich flavor of Japanese dashi (broth)! Their genuine reactions showed just how impactful a simple bowl of Udon can be in cross-cultural understanding.

The India-Japan Cultural Udon Party was more than just a meal; it was a joyful moment of connection, skill-sharing, and cultural discovery. We look forward to hosting more events like this to deepen the bonds between our staff and trainees!
